Watson Commits to Idaho

We have been talking on the show about how the University of Idaho needed to stay in- state and recruit two of the top players in their own backyard to try and turn the program around.  Well, Robb Akey did just that after Deon Watson gave his commitment to the Vandals earlier this week.

The dynamic duo of Chad Chalich and Deon Watson have resulted in back to back state championships for the Coeur D'Alene Vikings and now the two will have the opportunity to work their magic inside the Kibbie Dome for the next four years.

Watson is no stranger to the tradition at the U of I as his dad was an all-conference basketball for the Vandals and his dad didn't hide his feelings on our show about where he wanted his son to play college football.

Currently, Watson is playing for the Viking basketball team that is ranked #1 in the state and will look to add another state championship to his resume before getting on the gridiron this fall for the Vandals.
